Vaulted walls
Ceiling follows the roof line. Wall heights, ridge beam, and rafter ties framed so the volume opens up exactly as drawn.
Rake walls

Balloon framing
Continuous studs running full height past the floor line — for tall entries, open stairwells, and two-story great rooms.
